Hyper-V and AVX, AVX2, FMA3, FMA4, etc. instruction sets

Solution Currently, the latest version of Hyper-V (e.g. in Windows 8, Windows Server 2012) does not enable OSXSAVE to save/restore the new CPU state supporting 256-bit registers.

Thus, AVX, AVX2 or FMA3, FMA4 (and later) instruction sets cannot be used.

On Windows 8.x Hyper-V might be installed automatically by packages like Windows Phone 8.x SDK - which uses it to run the phone emulators.

Note that Hyper-V may also affect CPU/chipset power management (e.g. "Turbo") thus be sure to test before and after installation.

Note: It is likely 512-bit instructions will be similarly affected.
